The Leone Tawny Rum Liqueur is reminiscent of all the colours of Autumn. It has a delightful aroma of gentle vineyard breezes which capture the flavour of rum, sunshine and golden syrup. It is ideal on its own, or with cheeses, dried fruits, nuts and any delicious dessert. Premium Rum tawny is one of Lou’s favourite fortified to produce.
Colour: Deep amber/chocolate.
Bouquet: Lifted rum character with sultana, golden syrup and vanillin notes.
Taste: Luscious chocolate, butterscotch and vanilla are in abundance, the sweetness and alcohol are balanced and the rum flavours give a unique twist compared to a normal tawny. The viscous, mouth filling palate of golden syrup and rum, leave pleasant lingering sweet vanillin flavour.

Maturation potential: Drink now, or within 5-10 years
Ageing: The fruit was picked ultra ripe and concentrates in the beautiful warm Australian climate to produce an ultra luscious and generous wine. The fermentation is short (1-3 days), and fortified with premium spirit to stop fermentation and retain natural grape sweetness. The rum gives extra intensity to the butterscotch and vanillin character. This is a non vintage tawny that has spent many years carefully maturing in big format oak (2500L barrels) in our cellar.
