Colour: Deep crimson red with vibrant purple hues
Aroma: Distinctively perfumed Barossa Valley Shiraz with lifted raspberry, licorice, black currant, lavender and hints of mint. Some background toasty cedar notes derived from good quality oak add to the brooding layers. The final wine is unique and intriguing.
Palate: A seductive wine displaying balanced palate weight, length and structure. Rich fruit characters are complemented by oak spice and velvety tannins. Lingering raspberry, licorice
and dark chocolate flavours provide length on the palate. With its elegant structure, but powerful flavour, ensure great ageing potential and makes for perfect drinking while young.
Wine: The fruit is sourced from the Southern Barossa Valley on our single Hill Block vineyard at Rowland Flat. This premium Shiraz is always the first block that ripens for the season as a result of;
• It’s aspect on the Hill which captures the sunlight
• The rocky soil which retains the warmth from the days sun
The wine is a standout – classic Barossa characters coupled with a unique licorice and black currant depth. Temperature controlled oak maturation and barrel selection ensures the best possible quality for this single vineyard wine.
Food matching: Rich indulgent food that warms the soul, such as Osso Bucco, Melanzane Ripiene and Bistecca alla Fiorentina.
