Colour: Deep crimson red.
Aroma: Highly aromatic blend with earthy, plum & spiced fruitcake characteristics. Some cedar and cigar box notes add to the brooding dark fruit, resulting in an intriguing, yet true Barossa, rich red wine style.
Palate: A seductive wine displaying great palate weight, length and structure. Rich fruit characters are complemented by oak spice and ripe tannins. Lingering cherry and mocha on the wines after
taste ensure the wine amazing length and persistence on the palate.
Wine: The fruit which has been dry grown and is sourced from our Angel’s Vineyard in the Barossa Valley of South Australia. The vines are over 100 years old and the wine made from 61% Old Vine Shiraz and 39% Old Vine Mourvedre has been aged for 24 months in 40% new American oak.
Food matching: Harmonious accompaniment to grilled beef or veal served with a rich creamy mushroom sauce.
