Leone Cabernet Sauvignon is balanced and poised, with abundant blackcurrant and chocolate. Generous, rich and full flavoured there is a touch of vanilla and mocha from oak maturation that adds to the palate weight. Serve with slow cooked lamb and enjoy quality time with family and friends.

Colour: Black cherry, with vibrant garnet hues.
Aroma: Complex bouquet, there are elements of fruit, winemaking and maturation aromas making for an intriguing experience. Blackcurrant accompanied by violets, brown spice, leather and licorice.
Palate: Intense Cabernet Sauvignon varietal characters, multi-layered flavours. Full bodied, powerful, abundant fine tannins. The savoury notes of black olive and dark chocolate add structure and texture.
Winemaking: A very approachable balanced wine, showing lovely Cabernet flavours from Estate grown vineyards, at Rowland Flat in Southern Barossa Valley. Sourced predominately from our Winery and Pops blocks. The vines are planted on single wire trellising controlling low/moderate cropping levels allowing optimal ripeness. This wine was fermented at 25-28C in stainless steel tanks for 7-10 days and pumped over twice daily. Optimum skin contact married with American oak maturation for 24 months ensures length and structure on the palate.
Wine: This wine can be enjoyed with red meats such as lamb and beef, but also compliments intense earthy flavours such as mushroom. This wine is powerful enough to compliment rich food, but retains it’s elegance and structure. The balanced fruit, tannin structure makes this wine approachable on release, however will benefit from correct cellaring for 10+ years.
