Aroma: Ripe stone fruits, citrus and roasted hazelnuts with a touch of spice
Palate: Vibrant fruit and big flavour. Generous and full bodied with flavours of a Torta Della Nonna (roasted nuts, lemon curd/custard, Vanilla, brown spice and biscuity characters) with a textured, velvety finish
Serve: Chilled. Enjoy with family and friends on informal or formal occasions. The Leone Chardonnay will pair nicely with Seafood any way you like it.
Cellaring: Best consumed in its youth, with the correct cellaring can be enjoyed for some years.
Vineyard Notes: This single vineyard Chardonnay comes from our 1.2 hectare block in Rowland Flat, in the southern Barossa Valley. The vines were planted in 2005 in sandy/rocky hill side on a single wire trellis.
Winemaking Notes: During vintage the grapes were monitored for flavour development to ensure we harvested at optimal ripeness. This wine was fermented and aged partly in new French oak and stainless steel to add options and complexity at blending.
