Grown on the Estate vineyards, at Rowland Flat in Southern Barossa Valley. Sourced predominately from our Winery block. The vines are planted in 1995 on a single wire trellis
managing yield to low/moderate and facilitating dappled sunlight to the fruit critically important to Cabernet.
The fruit was fermented in stainless steel for 9 days with twice daily pump overs. Cautious consideration and focus was given to managing the extract and resultant tannin pick up in ferment. Matured in American oak for 26 months in 40% new oak and the balance in seasoned oak.

Colour: Deep Mahogany with garnet hues.
Aroma: Complex, interesting multifaceted bouquet of dried herbs, toasty smokey caramelised BBQ glaze, prune and black olive.
Palate: Multi-layered with an abundance of flavour in the rum and raisin dark chocolate spectrum, with a fine persistent backbone of tannin giving the wine focus and length with a thoroughly satisfying savoury finish.
