Mistella is a beautifully indulgent expression of the grape, crafted by blending fresh Cabernet Sauvignon juice from our Rovalley vineyard with grape spirit. This traditional method captures the natural sweetness and vibrant fruit character of the grapes, creating a luscious, richly flavoured and wonderfully versatile drink.

Colour: Brilliant pink with warm honeyed hues.
Nose: An inviting bouquet of rose petal, orange blossom and quince with delicate hints of honey, citrus peel.
Palate: Rich, luscious and beautifully rounded, with generous layers of ripe stone fruits. A silky texture is balanced by acidity bringing a freshness, structure and depth. A long warming and lingering finish with notes of quince and rhubarb.
Winemaking: Our Rovalley Cabernet Sauvignon block was monitored for flavour and ripeness (longer then normally used for a dry wine). The grapes were pressed with no fermentation and grape spirit added to the fresh juice. The alcohol from the spirit prevents fermentation and preserves the natural sweetness, fruit characters and flavours. The viscosity and depth comes from the spirit, adding layers of complexity. The mistella remained in stainless steel until bottling.
Enjoy chilled over ice, top with tonic or soda for a refreshing spritz, or get creative with your favourite cocktail. Equally delicious alongside cheese, dessert or simply enjoyed on its own.
