The Golden Lion is an ode to the Autumn vine, shedding their golden leaves in preparation for a bountiful Spring.

Strikingly delicious and seductively graceful, the wine is packed with dark fruit intensity together with dark chocolate, spicy oak, vanilla and toasted spice aromas. It’s dense and weighty, delivering awesome fruit power as well as flowing texture and velvety mouthfeel. Gratifying and immensely appealing.
Colour: Crimson Red with Purple hues
Aroma: Vibrant dark forest berry fruits, with plum, pepper and vanilla mocha from the oak
Palate: Generous full palate mirroring the aroma. Savoury tannins are behind the fruit and spice balancing this wine and giving great structure and length.
Wine: The 2017 vintage provided an abundant growing season and produced outstanding fruit quality. A generous wine with savoury tannins and an abundance of dark fruits round out the palate. Maturation in American oak adds complexity of vanilla, mocha and a touch of coconut giving the Golden Lion Reserve texture, length and structure.
This wine can be enjoyed with grilled rib eye on the bone, brushed with olive oil, sprinkled with salt, pepper and rosemary and cooked over hot charcoal. Alternatively it can be drunk on any occasion and with correct cellaring can be enjoyed for many years – Cellar for 15 years or more.
