At the heart of our winery is family, the seed from which all else grows. The power of three, combining our strengths and passion to make memorable wines. We honour our heritage, embrace the present and toast to the future. Live Fierce!
The 2019 growing season was dry through winter and spring and it continued that way until harvest, producing lower yields and small berries.
Grown on the Estate vineyards at Rowland Flat and Lyndoch in southern Barossa Valley. The single wire trellised vines planted in 1995 and 2004 allow for dappled light at the fruit zone to produce optimal ripeness, which is colour, flavour, tannin and sugar development combined. The grapes were harvested on flavour and beautiful expressions of varietal character.
Pair with Low and Slow BBQ it will match the intensity and richness to this wine, perfect for those long Sunday gatherings.

Shanteh Wale, Quay Restaurant Head Sommelier – 92 points “The dry growing season has produced the generosity of ripe fruit we can expect from the Barossa Valley, single wire trellised vines planted in 1995 and 2004 are evident in the concentration of fruit. Black plums and dark swiss bitter chocolate with plenty of flavor that follows right through the tasting experience. Rounded and giving this wine carries the sweetness of oak char well and the sappy tongue tapping finish of Shiraz means the wine finishes dry. It’s a Barossa Shiraz drinkers delight and would work well with slowed cooked lamb neck and a intense lamb jus that takes way too long to prepare but worth every second.”
Ray Jordan, The West Australian – 92 points “This is a traditional Barossa style of shiraz. Primarily it’s based on fully ripe fruit and then extended time in American oak. In fact, it gets 29 months in used oak, which appears to be fundamental in ensuring a balanced integrated finish wine. Loads of dark chocolate and cloves with a subtle dried herbs character. Thickish tannins and neatly managed oak come together to hold the wine through to its long finish. Cellar: 10 years”
Wine Enthusiast 2022, USA – 91 points “Extravagantly pure and concentrated on the nose, this youthful wine is replete with blackberry and black currant jam. Dense, layered and unctuous on the palate, there are more nuances of black fruit jam along with lifted, mentholated tones and sultry dark chocolate. This is a full-throttle wine with high alcohol, caressing tannins and mild acidic lift. While well-balanced, the style is likely to be polarizing. Yet where there are fans, the flame should burn strong. Drink now–2024.”
