At the heart of our winery is family, the seed from which all else grows. The power of three, combining our strengths and passion to make memorable wines. We honour our heritage, embrace the present and toast to the future. Live Fierce!
Harvested on flavour and beautiful expressions of varietal character. Shiraz from our Angels vineyard contributes to this blend. Angels planted in 2004 at Lyndoch, always produces wine that has intense colour and brightness of fruit which blends especially well with Grenache combined with Mataro for structure.
The versatility of the wine will pair with a week date night.

Colour: Rich mahogany with red undertones and hues.
Nose: Raspberry, cherry and rhubarb are accompanied by earthy, savoury notes. Complex and intriguing.
Palate: SGM marries distinctive flavours from all III varietals in the blend. The Shiraz giving upfront flavour of ripe plum, brown spice and mid palate weight. The Grenache giving more fragrant characters of raspberry, rose and pink peppercorn. Whilst the Mataro adds more savoury notes. This complex wine has intense flavour and structure, blending the sweetness of Shiraz with the fragrance and vibrancy of Grenache with the assertive tannins of Mataro offering a multifaceted and layered wine with persistence and length.
Making: This wine was fermented as varietal components at 22-28C in stainless steel tanks for 7-20 days on skins. Post primary fermentation the wine was matured for 15 months in seasoned American and French oak. Each component was carefully blended to ensure balance of the III varietals.

Wine Showcase Magazine 2021 – 93 points
Ray Jordan, The West Australian – 92 points “This is an appealing example of this quintessential Barossa blend. Combines ripe plum and generous fruit concentration with a savoury meaty character. The tannins have a slightly chalky feel, while the oak is well managed. A soft and generous full-bodied style with loads of appeal. Cellar: 8 years”

Wine Enthusiast 2022, USA – 91 points “This is a resolutely dark-hearted wine with black fruit flavors, licorice and sultry oak spices. Creamy and custardy on the palate—verging on gluttonous, in the most delightful way—there is nonetheless an impressive harmony here. The tannins are lightly grainy but very ripe and suave overall. The acidity works hard and struggles to keep pace. Throughout it all, the palate remains riotously youthful and energetic. Enjoy early on for full appreciation of this smorgasbord of excitement. Drink now–2025”

Wine State Magazine 2021 – 91 points

Shanteh Wale, Quay Restaurant Head Sommelier – “A bold wine with darkest blackcurrants, blackberries and cola spices. A syrupy assemblage of red plums, cherries and stewed raspberries is lifted by the brightness of Grenache on the palate and followed by a nice drying finish thanks to the structure of Mataro. This is a wine that would carry right through till the end of a meal with crumbly aged cheddar and port roasted blueberry compote on a lavosh cracker.”
